Tábor [ Village or Town/City ]The original Hussite fortified camp (Cz. "tábor") grew into a town that in 1437 was raised to the status of Royal Burgh.
The 15th century fortifications became the model for other towns.
The Bechyně Gate (listed monument) and Žižka Bastion remain, and from the Hussite Museum access to the Medieval walkways and three-storey cellars is possible.
