Southbohemian Folk Association is a voluntary cultural-artistic organization which associate children and adult folk groups and friends of folk. The main aim is the contribution to preserve, develop and popularize the art of folklore, especially folklore of southbohemian region.
The region of South Bohemia offer not only natural, historical and cultural monuments but even local live folklore which preserve unique popular costumes, songs, dances and traditions. Folk groups of Southbohemian Folk Association develop and make live this cultural heritage which presents in their presentations and various folk festivals.
One of the important parts forms the organization are various popular festivities and festivals where can participate many of folk groups from the southbohemian region but we offer also the participation for the other groups from others regions of the Czech Republic or foreign countries.
