Urban monuments reservation area Cheb [ Městská památková rezervace ]

The first mention of Cheb comes from Imperial documents of 1061.
In 1266 the town was added to the Kingdom of Bohemia by Přemysl Otakar II.
Among the most important monuments are the "Špalíček" (a group of 15th and 16th century houses), the castle and the Black Tower, the Parish Church of St Nicholas, the Minorite Church of the Virgin Mary, the New Town Hall, the Schirdinger house, the Gabler house, the Domonican monastery with the Church of St Wenceslav and the former St Bartholomew´s Church.
